Skipping is renowned for its ability to build cardio and endurance. Typically done as a warm-up, skipping rope often forms an integral part of Muay Thai training. It can also be done as a stand-alone cardio exercise, especially when using a heavy rope which also works to build shoulder & arm endurance.
